TONY HOWK – REAL EXTREME!

1999 year. Competitions of the most desperate people on the planet in everything that, one way or another, can be called extreme sports. On the ground, in the air, on the water – with the help of wheels, boards of various modifications, engines and just a pair of skis – each of the participants tries to prove to the opponent that his passion for risk is several dimensions higher than the others. And that the most dangerous and, possibly, crazy action (trick, feint, trick) is yet to come. This is X-Games – and there is no place for weaklings and cowards! Just 31-year-old American skateboarder Tony Hawke forever imprinted his personal data in the history of extreme entertainment. From the 11th attempt, he nevertheless obeyed the extremely complicated number, which was called the Indy 900 among skateboarders. The essence of it is to jump on a ramp and be able to complete a revolution of 900 degrees around itself. It’s hard to even imagine, not what to accomplish. UELI STECK – REAL EXTREME!

Uli Shtek, the future legend of conquering the peaks, the Swiss Machine and the owner of two Golden Ice Axes, was born on October 4, 1977 in Switzerland in Langnau im Emmental. He was fond of hockey and skiing as a child. He became interested in mountaineering as a 12-year-old boy. In adolescence, he trained at climbing gyms. At the age of 18, having gained good physical and psychological shape, he already went through some of the most difficult and dangerous routes in the Alps.

Despite his youth, Uli Shtek conquered difficult peaks one after another. By the age of 25, he already had an impressive and respectful track record. In 1998, a young mountaineer single-handedly reached the summit of Mengch on Heston’s lobby. In 2001, the Pointe-Walker of the Grand Joras Massif obeyed him. In addition, this route was extreme and extremely difficult. In the same year, along with Uli Buler, the athlete first climbed Pumori – the peak in the Himalayas in the Mahalangur-Himal mountain range. The route was a little less than one and a half kilometers. About a year later, in 2002, together with Sean Easton, the Swiss Car made its own route to Alaska to Dickey, which was called Blood from Stone. Continue reading
