AHMED GAMAL GABR – REAL EXTREME!
An Egyptian diver who set the world record for immersion in water, was born in 1974. Little is known about the athlete’s childhood and youth. Parents of the future conqueror of the deep sea engaged in ordinary work and were no different from the rest of the Egyptians. Ahmed himself could never think of his future calling. In early childhood, he loved, like all boys, to play war games, climb trees and swim in the sea.
At the age of eighteen, after graduation, the young man thought about entering the local military academy. He had been preparing for a serious physical test for several years. Having put his body and mind in order, the young man overcame all entrance exams and was enrolled in the course.
Studying at the military academy was distinguished by a strict discipline of the students studying and their iron endurance. For all the years of his student life, Gabr passed many tests and exams. Already in 1994, he graduated from a higher educational institution and entered an adult independent life full of unexpected surprises. Continue reading
