My favorite place is right off the sand of the beach! I've launched from parking lots, back streets, canal berms, I've landed in parking spot next to my car in parking lot.

Where can you fly legally?  Hmm..! see Rules and regs & FAA. Really you can fly any where you don't get or cause complaints!

What do you need to take off? If enough wind 5-7 mph for reverse launch, you only need a few feet.  If less than 5-7 mph need about 50 ft to leave the ground.  But , With either launch, there is other things to consider.  No wind only need 50 ft to get off ground, but (depending on motor thrust, wing size, and your weight) may need 100' more to clear 30' trees at end of field. Figure that in.  Also figure in down drafts.  Down drafts are rare, but not as rare as you want your tree landings to be from take-offs! Likewise figure in possible problems like forgot to gas up, open gas flow lock, bumped kill switch getting into seat, etc.

If you think you have a 95% chance of making launch with sat launch room area.   That means you have a 5% chance that you wont make it, damage yourself and unit, and make an incident, if not a big embarrassing scene!
