Like a feather A paraglider has 150% surface area compared to pilot weight as compared to a parachute to pilot weight. So it sets us down gently, even more so than todays advanced parachutes. Always come in facing the wind! At about 6 ft' typically pull half brake. Watching the horizon. Not the ground! Then adjust the pull on brake lines to the decent rate from there on. Pull faster if sudden descent. Slower or even back up if wind picks up (picks you up)! Once you land, turn to turn the propeller away from the down lofting paraglider, and lines, as you walk away from it. This prevents the lines from coming down on you or in the propeller and cage. |
